Dr. Nassar completed his undergraduate degree at Acadia University in Nova Scotia before earning a Master of Science in Vision Science from the State University of New York School of Optometry — giving him a scientific foundation in the optics and physiology of human vision that informs every clinical decision he makes.

He earned his Doctor of Medicine from Meharry Medical College in Nashville, Tennessee — one of the country's historic historically Black medical colleges and a rigorous academic institution where he graduated from the Dean's List with Clinical Honors in five rotations. Following internship at Metro Nashville General Hospital, he completed his ophthalmology residency at Henry Ford Hospital in Detroit, one of the highest-volume eye surgery training programs in the Midwest.

In 2004, Dr. Nassar established Eye Specialists of Georgia, building the practice from a single Atlanta office to three locations across the south metro — Atlanta, Peachtree City, and Riverdale.
